Insite Software Appoints Two New Board Members to Support Company's Leadership and Growth in Rapidly Expanding B2B eCommerce Market
MINNEAPOLIS, MN, Feb 27, 2013 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) --
Insite Software, a leading provider of B2B eCommerce platforms and
shipping solutions with more than 950 customers worldwide, today
announced the addition of two new board members to support the
company's continued leadership and growth.
The company has added more than 170 customers in the last 24 months,
and is poised to be a dominant player in the rapidly expanding B2B
eCommerce market, which is expected to quickly dwarf that of the B2C
market. According to industry analyst firm Forrester, the current B2C
eCommerce market size is estimated at $250 billion, while the market
potential for B2B eCommerce is valued at $559 billion.
Insite Software's powerful eCommerce platform enables organizations
to achieve competitive advantage through improved sales volumes and
operational efficiencies. Designed specifically to accommodate the
unique requirements of manufacturers and distributors surrounding
products, processes and customers, Insite Software provides a
powerful online sales solution that integrates with enterprise
resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM), and
back-end business systems.
Appointed to the board as chairman, Ken Holec has more than 30 years'
experience establishing strategy, leadership and execution for both
private and public technology companies. He will help guide Insite's
growth with a focus on strategy, organization and financial guidance.
Holec formerly held the position of chief executive officer at Lawson
Software, ShowCase, Peopleclick Inc., and most recently at Jobs2Web,
where he helped build the leading Software as a Service recruiting
marketing platform, recently purchased for $110 million by
SuccessFactors/SAP. Holec currently serves as director at Virteva, an
independent IT consulting and managed services firm serving
enterprise clients and medium-sized businesses.
Joining Holec on the board is Steve Shaffer who will also serve as
chief revenue officer for Insite Software. In this role, Shaffer will
develop and execute Insite's go-to-market strategy and enhance the
company's market leadership position in B2B eCommerce solutions.
Shaffer has 20 years' experience in sales/marketing and finance
leadership, most recently serving as the senior director for Cloud
Financials with SAP, leading their go-to-market strategy. Prior to
this, Shaffer served as general manager for Jobs2Web.
"These new appointments to our Board will ensure Insite Software can
fully leverage the exploding B2B eCommerce market opportunity and
help guide our operations during this multi-year period of sustained
growth. We conducted an extensive search and Ken and Steve stood out
as exceptional candidates given their strong operational and
financial experience," said Insite Software CEO Brian Strojny.
"Insite Software is entering a critical stage of growth and execution
as the B2B eCommerce market is rapidly maturing," said Holec. "All
indications are that they will continue on their current growth
trajectory, and I look forward to adding my operational and fiscal
perspective at the board-level to help manage and leverage the
company's significant market opportunity."
"B2B eCommerce is rapidly gaining adoption, especially with
manufacturers and distributors as they look to increase sales and
improve their competitive position," said Shaffer. "Insite Software
meets a strategic market need for a comprehensive and easy-to-deploy
B2B eCommerce platform, and I look forward to helping the company
accelerate its revenue goals and expand its reach."
Holec and Shaffer join current board members and Insite Software
co-founders Brian Strojny, CEO; Tom Frishberg, CIO; and Linda
Taddonio, CFO.
