Zettics Enhances Executive Team with Addition of Big Data and Telecom Veterans

Zettics, Inc., a company focusing on big data mobile analytics, announced that it has appointed three industry veterans to its executive team: John Gillespie, formerly with IBM and Netezza, to SVP of Worldwide Sales and Business Development; Mike Crane, previously with Guavus and Grid Net, to VP of Business Development; and John Tremblay, formerly with NxStage and Verizon Wireless, to VP of Product Management.
According to a release, John Gillespie brings more than 25 years of experience delivering solutions to the telecommunications and enterprise sectors to Zettics, including more than six years of big data analytics experience. He comes to Zettics from IBM, where he served as the Global General Manager for the Communications Sector (Telecommunications, Media and Energy & Utilities) Big Data Organization based in Shanghai, China. Previously, Gillespie spent many years at Netezza as the GM of their Telecommunications Division before their acquisition by IBM. Mike Crane brings over 20 years of big data, telecommunications and global business development experience to Zettics. Previously, Mike was VP of Business Development at Guavus, VP of Sales and Business Development at Grid Net, and held leadership positions at Nielsen Mobile, Vodafone, and PriceWaterhouse Coopers. John Tremblay brings over 20 years of marketing and product experience across the mobile value chain. Prior to Zettics, John led an mHealth offering at NxStage Medical, helped defined the realization of new 4G services at Verizon Wireless, and co-founded and was VP of Marketing and Product Management at mobile media startup Azuki Systems.

All three executives will help Zettics at a time of rapid expansion for the company. The latest release of the platform, 7.0, has been deployed at carriers worldwide and is processing trillions of transactions per month. The Zettics Dynamic Learning Platform continually learns based on the data it receives, and is used to both measure current activities and predict future actions. Carriers are using Zettics technology to deliver meaningful business results in numerous departments within their organizations, including marketing, customer care, and network/IT.
Zettics provides a big data analytics solution to carriers that delivers immediate, actionable insights on data activities (web, application, audio, video, p2p, VoIP, etc.).
