Integration of Tanner EDA and Incentia Tools Increases Capabilities and Productivity for Analog and Mixed-signal IC Designers
MONROVIA, Calif. --(Business Wire)--
Tanner EDA, the catalyst for innovation for the design, layout and
verification of analog and mixed-signal (A/MS) integrated circuits
(ICs), has integrated the DesignCraft™ and TimeCraft™ digital design
tools from Incentia Design Systems into Tanner EDA's HiPer
Silicon AMS solution. DesignCraft
is Incentia's complete logic synthesis tool with integrated capability
to synthesize and optimize for area, power, timing, and
design-for-testability (DFT). TimeCraft
is Incentia's high-speed, big-capacity, static timing analyzer (STA) for
nanometer timing analysis and sign-off. HiPer Silicon AMS extends Tanner
EDA's design, layout and verification toolset to include advanced tools
for design entry, simulation, debugging, static timing and synthesis for
digital circuits.
As ICs add increasing functionality and capability, mixed-signal designs
are growing in complexity. At the same time, business pressures are
requiring designers to shorten time to market and reduce re-spins.
Tanner EDA's solutions are built from the ground up with the needs of
the designer in mind. While a number of EDA tool providers offer
software for creating A/MS designs, they either come at high cost (low
price-performance ratio) or are bespoke point tools, requiring much data
manipulation and manual integration. By partnering with leading
providers like Incentia, Tanner EDA can offer A/MS designers a cohesive
and comprehensive tool suite that delivers productivity, usability and
price-performance that is unmatched in the industry.
The Incentia's DesignCraft and TimeCraft tools embedded into Tanner
EDA's A/MS flows ae identical to the tools sold directly by Incentia
and its resellers. Tanner EDA provides pre- and post-sales support for
joint users. A modular installation wizard allows users to install and
configure the tools according to their hardware configuration and
desired use model. Once installed, the tool operates in a seamless and
integrated way - following the workflow for a mixed-signal circuit
design.
"We continue to partner with leading EDA tool vendors to provide
designers with a mixed-signal design environment that is directly suited
to 'big-A, little-D' design," said Greg Lebsack, president of Tanner
EDA. "Tight product integration gives our users maximum ease of use -
acquisition, installation, configuration, and tool flow and support. And
naturally ease of use provides higher design productivity."
"Integration with Tanner EDA's full-flow A/MS design suite was a natural
match for both companies," said Ihao Chen, president & CEO of Incentia.
"Incentia has a well-established base of users on the digital side;
bundling our software into the widely-used Tanner EDA tools suite allows
mixed-signal designers to access these capabilities easily and
effectively."
