John McCarthy Named President/Chief Operating Officer of Mainline Information Systems

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. --(Business Wire)--

Rick Kearney, CEO and founder of Mainline Information Systems, has promoted John McCarthy to president and chief operating officer. McCarthy joined Mainline in 2009 as senior vice president of sales and marketing and was subsequently promoted to executive vice president and COO. This newly announced promotion culminates the successful implementation of a three-year plan to transform and diversify Mainline's business.

Under McCarthy's leadership, Mainline has expanded its focus, primarily as an IBM (News - Alert) hardware reseller, toward IT solutions such as business analytics and has retooled Mainline's professional services division. Mainline completed three acquisitions in the past three years, the latest being the purchase of Software by Design Inc., a boutique IBM Cognos and Netezza (News - Alert) service provider.
