Market Maker Surveillance Report. DELL, CSX, YHOO, MSFT, INDY, SLIO, Highest Net Sell Volume and Negative Price Friction For Friday, November 16th 2012

Nov 19, 2012 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) -- BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Friday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Friday there were 4195 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2747 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2514 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net sell volume on Friday and lowest negative price Friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. Dell Inc (NASDAQ:DELL), CSX Corp (NYSE:CSX), Yahoo! Inc (NASDAQ:YHOO), MICROSOFT CORPORATION (NASDAQ:MSFT), iShares S&P India Nifty 50 Index Fund (NASDAQ:INDY), Solo International Inc (OTC:SLIO). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below: Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction DELL $-0.720 -7.53% 32,686,272 45.84% 38,084,789 53.42% -5,398,517 -74,979 CSX $-0.320 -1.65% 3,507,127 22.81% 5,689,593 37.00% -2,182,466 -68,202 YHOO $-0.040 -0.22% 14,530,292 47.02% 16,285,444 52.70% -1,755,152 -438,788 MSFT $-0.140 -0.53% 24,088,019 38.33% 38,422,222 61.14% -14,334,203 -1,023,872 INDY $-0.260 -1.11% 29,522 1.85% 1,564,119 98.15% -1,534,597 -59,023 SLIO $-0.022 -53.66% 12,199,395 38.20% 19,732,635 61.80% -7,533,240 -3,424,200 Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have low price friction combined with more selling than buying (negative Net Volume) in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows DELL down $-0.72000 with a Friction Factor of -74,979 and a Net Volume of -5,398,517. That means that it takes 74,979 more shares of selling than buying to drop DELL by one penny. On Monday the Market Makers allowed the stock to move down on heavier selling than buying (low negative friction).
