Top 5 Companies in the Mortgage REITs Industry With the Highest Return on Equity (CYS, AGNC, IVR, CIM, CMO)

Nov 14, 2012 (SmarTrend(R) News Watch via COMTEX) -- Below are the three companies in the Mortgage REITs industry with the highest return on equity. The ROE is a general indication of the company's efficiency; investors usually look for companies with ROEs that are high and are growing.Cypress Sharpridge Investments ranks highest with a ROE of 24.7%. American Capital Agency is next with a ROE of 21.2%. Invesco Mortgage Capital ranks third highest with a ROE of 17.1%.


Chimera Investment follows with a ROE of 16.1%, and Capstead Mortgage rounds out the top five with a ROE of 14.1%.
