Market Maker Surveillance Report. ICAD, NTE, NVGN, CELTF, VRNG, PRMW, Winning Stocks With Lowest Price Friction For Monday, November 5th 2012

Nov 06, 2012 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) -- BUYINS.NET /, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 4050 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2710 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2626 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Monday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. iCAD Inc (NASDAQ:ICAD), Nam Tai Electronics Inc (NYSE:NTE), Novogen Ltd (NASDAQ:NVGN), CENTAMIN EGYPT LTD (OTC:CELTF), Vringo Inc (AMEX:VRNG), Primo Water Corp (NASDAQ:PRMW). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below: Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction ICAD $0.850 39.53% 336,023 55.66% 266,316 44.11% 69,707 820 NTE $4.480 41.83% 2,537,539 33.69% 2,520,127 33.45% 17,412 39 NVGN $0.810 53.64% 99,804 55.96% 70,316 39.43% 29,488 364 CELTF $0.241 25.94% 42,426 57.16% 31,100 41.90% 11,326 470 VRNG $1.190 42.96% 6,138,022 38.24% 6,048,466 37.69% 89,556 753 PRMW $0.400 54.05% 1,677,088 55.69% 1,334,229 44.31% 342,859 8,571 Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows ICAD with a dollar gain Monday of $0.85000 and a Friction Factor of 820 shares. That means that it only took 820 more shares of buying than selling to move ICAD higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
