SmartBear Software Appoints Betty Zakheim as VP of Product Strategy

Sep 18, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- SmartBear Software named Betty Zakheim, a 30-year software industry veteran and former IBM/Rational, as Vice President of Product Strategy.

Betty's software career spans nearly 30 years in a range of roles and organizations. She spent the first 10 years of her career as an engineer and engineering manager at companies including General Electric, Raytheon, GenRad, Xerox and Interleaf. She then served in more commercial roles as a product manager and marketing executive at companies such as InConcert, Lightbridge, IONA, Progress Software, CopperEye and IBM/Rational.


Most recently, Betty ran her own consulting firm, Outside In Solutions, where she counseled software companies on go-to-market strategies. She is a member of the board of directors of The Boston Club, a group of executives for the advancement of women in leadership roles and serves as chair of its technology committee.
