Plantronics Leverages Spokes Software for IBM Sametime [Health & Beauty Close - Up]
(Health & Beauty Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Plantronics has announced new unified communications software, Spokes software for IBM Sametime, to maximize the benefits of voice communication by untethering people from their computers.
In a release, the Company said that in addition, Epilio is embracing the new Spokes software to enhance employee communications globally and lower call costs.
Freedom and mobility can increase focus and productivity by enabling people to get up, move to a quiet area or access information while on calls, the Company said. The Spokes software for IBM Sametime allows people to adjust the call volume, mute or answer a call with a Plantronics wireless headset.
"We have deployed Plantronics Spokes software for IBM Sametime in the US and the UK," said Carl Tyler, Director of Epilio Inc, "Our employees chose a Voyager PRO UC or a Savi DECT headset from Plantronics. Now they use their headsets to communicate with colleagues and customers clearly and confidently, effectively reducing telephone call costs and alleviating the need for international dialing to fellow employees."
