By Carolyn J Dawson, TMCnet Contributor
GoGrid has collaborated with IBM (News - Alert) to unravel the big data needs of independent software vendors and systems integrators. The incorporated solution, which combines GoGrid Server Images along with IBM's BigInsights and Streams, will assist businesses to develop big data services on IBM-powered cloud applications as and when required. The big data services can be generated in less time using the incorporated solution, which is available in flexible subscription plans.
Businesses, which have to examine the large volumes of unstructured data connected with social media and other synchronized Internet services, will find these pre-built GoGrid Server Images with IBM's BigInsights and Streams ideal. The incorporated offering also assists businesses in developing big data applications that are based on Apache Hadoop.
In a release, Bruce Weed, program director, Global Business Development, IBM said, "Solving today's Big Data challenges requires cutting-edge software and infrastructure, and this business partnership brings together the best of both. GoGrid's automated cloud infrastructure platform and IBM's Big Data software work together to let businesses build Software-as-a-Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) applications to address their need to analyze vast amounts of information."
IBM ISVs and SIs can produce offerings utilizing numerous value-added applications with the help of GoGrid's exclusive billing and license management technology. IBM ISVs and SIs will also be able to offer a combined monthly invoice comprising of GoGrid's infrastructure, IBM's BigInsights and Streams software, and any extra ISV license fees to their customers. The process not only ensures rapid and flawless implementation, but also helps the customers in achieving extensive marketability across their user base community. Apart from offering their software in the cloud, ISVs can enhance the end customer experience.
John Keagy, founder and CEO, GoGrid said, "The new Big Data GoGrid Server Images are a great example of how GoGrid is lowering the barrier of entry for software providers interested in expanding their businesses with cloud solutions. Combining BigInsights and Streams with GoGrid's innovative billing and licensing system opens up exciting new business opportunities. By offering trusted IBM solutions with the scalability and flexibility of a cloud-based business model, we help software companies better service the needs of their clients."
