Reception of the award by Galigeo was announced during the Smarter Commerce Global Summit held in Madrid on May 22. The event is organized annually to discover how to leverage technology to create a more customer-focused marketing strategy and tailor communications for a variety of media, channels and devices, and was attended by top IBM executives like Mike Rhodin (Sr. Vice President, IBM Software Solutions Group), Steve Crowley (VP Industry Solutions) and Melinda Matthews (Director - WW SWG Industry Solutions Sales, Business Partner). Galigeo was recognized for its integration efforts and for validating its Location Intelligence solution on Smarter Commerce, IBM revealed in a press release. Galigeo’s location intelligence solutions connect directly to enterprise applications, map large-scale datasets and apply spatial processing to enhance data visualization, reporting and predictive analytics. The solutions have been designed to improve sales territory management, trade areas analysis, resource allocation, network infrastructure monitoring and regulatory & environmental compliance. Retailers and organizations employ Galigeo software solutions to enhance the productivity of their field sales forces. With recognition by IBM, Galigeo will now be able to score a few extra points over its competitors.
